Last year, we had Beyonce and Jay-Z, On the Run II. We had TDE’s first ever “The Championship” tour, and although there were some hiccups, fans were largely entertained, elated even. And, we had Aubrey and the Three Migos, which, at its height, involved floating Lambos and ad-lib fire between Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset.

Arriving much later than the release of his latest album TESTING, A$AP Rocky has finally announced a North American Tour. Considering the epic guests on TESTING, we think it’s likely we’ll see at least a couple on the “Injured Generation” Tour, such as French Montana, Kodak Black, and Kid Cudi. Taking into account the trippy, sonically experimental nature of TESTING, we think the “Injured Generation” Tour will be one for the books.

Cardi will definitely be touring, and headlining, in support of her dazzling studio album Invasion of Privacy. For her first tour of this size, we can hopefully expect glamorous costumes, her New York native brashness, the contagious bravado that sent her to the moon. We think it’s safe to say Cardi will have a number of incredible guests on her Invasion of Privacy Tour, such as Migos, Chance the Rapper, SZA, and Kehlani—all of which guested on her album.

There wasn’t much time before the announcement of the Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih collab—Mihty—and its release. Now, we have a very enjoyable rap album, one which showcases the above average talents of two artists who mostly fly beneath the radar. Aside from Mihty, neither of the artists have a recent studio LP to promote, or even one in the works, which leads us to believe that the artists have been dedicating most of their time to the production—and possible stage production—behind the Mihty release.

Earlier this month, Future and Juice WRLD surprise dropped their album, WRLD on Drugs, featuring Young Thug, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj. But the hype hasn’t stopped since. Last week, the duo unleashed the Cole Bennett-directed music video “No Issues,” which was followed by visuals for “Realer N Realer” and “WRLD on Drugs”. Considering the NICKIHNDRXX Tour dates have yet to be rescheduled in Hartford, we think it’s likely that Future and Juice WRLD will tour their collab instead.

If you haven’t heard of Noname, you won’t have an excuse for much longer, but right now we are early in the Chicagoan, lullaby-rapper’s career. Now, with the boost of Noname’s sophomore album Room 25, and all of its funk, neo-soul energy, she has an arsenal of lyrics fans will have trapped in their heads for weeks. Noname’s 19-date tour begins in January, and according to reviews from her stint through Connecticut, Noname refuses pretention, and is as fresh, intimate, and provocative in person as her deeply personal sophomore album Room 25.

Drake’s God status? The 2016 election? A hug and a nudge from Dr. Dre? Whatever it was, we are happy to have seen more of Em in 2018. Not only did he drop some scathing words against Trump for BET, he placed himself atop the Empire State building for Jimmy Kimmel, and even did a surprise album release of his own, the now platinum Kamikaze. Now, will 2019 be the year we see Eminem headline a tour, like the old days? We think, at the very least, we will see Slim Shady on the summer music festival circuit. Listen, we know Chance is getting married next year. And we know he’s a father of an incredibly cute, already dramatically talented little girl. And we know he hasn’t released any full solo projects since 2016’s Coloring Book. But we think something big could be in the works for 2019 anyways, as Chance the Rapper has always defied standard logic. Not only is he in the process of producing a collaboration with Kanye West, but he’s also released a few stand-alone tracks, the bouncy “Workout”, “35th and Ingleside”, and the scathing (not to mention future-predicting) “I Might Need Security”. Will these appear on a larger work, alongside a Kanye-West produced 7-track? According to this logic, maybe, just maybe, Chance will tour in 2019.
